This camp will offer a creative Songwriting session with an emphasis on the collaborative, small-group process. This is a difficult road to travel, as it involves getting a point across but letting others also express their ideas. There is compromise, strength and letting go involved. And quite a few emotions.

The teachers here at the school are honored to have been able to work with Guest Producer - Paul McNamara. He graciously lets the groups record on Friday for a full day at his studio called Spririthouse Recording Studios in Longmeadow. Students have four days to write a song using a couple of workshops to help the creativity begin. They work on what they have done, sharing the day’s work with each group each afternoon.

This class is only open to intermediate to advanced players. Singers and students who play drums, bass, keyboard, ukulele, guitar, fiddle, flute, accordion, banjo, mandolin, etc.
